Summer had been thinking about Kim Walters while she worked through piles of paperwork, so she wasn’t surprised when Kim called her. “We need to get together,” Summer said…and the date was set to meet at their favorite coffee shop, ZoJo Coffee Roastery! We were excited to add another event to our summer line up and to meet a lovely lady over the best coffee in Cowlitz County!
Kim needed some help with her annual fundraiser: Cruise for the Cure and Summer and Karen had some ideas about what could happen and before we knew it, Karen was the MC, Summer was planning to sing the national anthem during opening ceremonies, Exclaim Media and Living Ministries had a vendor booth, a sponsorship trophy had been purchased and video was being planned.
While we spoke about other things Exclaim Media could do to help with marketing, we noticed that the only place you could find New Hope Cancer Recovery online, was on other people’s sites…and plans were made to build a site, Facebook and Twitter.
New Hope Cancer Recovery is a Christ-Center program that offers support groups for people with cancer and their loved ones. It is run by New Hope Cancer Recovery’s Director, Kim Walters; who was inspired to share the knowledge she gained after she lost both her parents to cancer, within 15 months of each other.
The 6th Annual Cruise for the Cure will take place on Saturday September 15, 2012 from 9 am to 4 pm in Downtown Longview, Washington (Car Registration starts at 8 am). Fun activities are being planned for all ages; including A Cancer Survivor’s Walk at 11 am. A portion of New Hope’s proceeds will be donated to Community Home Health & Hospice and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. If you wish to be a Trophy Sponsor, contact New Hope Cancer Recovery today!
If you don’t get enough classic car action to make your heart happy until the next car show make sure to go to Drag Race for the Cure on Sunday September 16, 2012!
Thanks for working with us Kim! As always you are such a pleasure to be friends with!
