I was wearing my Love Overwhelming hat at DLE Cafe one day when I got the chance to meet Lynn Brown of Hearts For Homeless. Immediately I was amazed at her energy, drive and heart for her homeless friends.

Before we parted ways I was glad to invite her to a Living Ministries meeting to tell us about what she does. When she walked in to our meeting, she had to take a call. As she spoke in fluent Spanish with a concerned look on her face I knew she was for real. This kind-hearted woman and her family make sure to make anywhere from 50-150 sack lunches each Saturday and drive all over Cowlitz County delivering them and spreading hope.
Listening to her talk about their ministry, which is completely funded by their paychecks and any donations people share with her I was overwhelmed. Her husband works 2 jobs to pay the bills and she spends her days making contact with her friends. She answers the phone 24-7 and does everything she is able, relying on God to fill in what she doesn’t have at hand.
I was so excited to work with her on a website, logo and Facebook page! I am so glad I wear lots of hats and was wearing the right one when she came to see how she could help Love Overwhelming! Since that day I had the chance to help her feed our friends. Living Ministries committee members made cinnamon rolls, brought a tent and prayed, fed and loved our friends that happen to be homeless.
