Karen Gidderon Clemenson says that everything she has done so far in life has been in preparation for being an entrepreneur. It is Karen’s personal mission statement to help others see the power of making a human connection that exceeds all expectations and may cause lots of EXCLAIMATIOUS laughter!
Karen arrived in the great Pacific Northwest in September of 1987.The good old US Army brought her here. She stepped off the plane and knew Washington State would become home for her. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Karen sold Real Estate in Tacoma, Washington. While Tacoma had its own beauty, it was a little too big for Karen. She longed for that small-town community feeling. A place where people see you in the grocery store and say hi, a place like Kelso-Longview! Karen says she never regrets her decision to move to Cowlitz County. Here she has found a welcoming community with room for change and reason to celebrate their wholesome generosity.
In 2006 Karen was cast in the KLTV show, “Impact TV.” During this time Karen really fell in love with cameras and the entire production process. The adrenaline rush of producing a live show was great! Interviewing guests and bringing out the best in them was a real turn on for Karen. “Impact TV” was a show that aired on KLTV for many years. The host was Alan Ruddberg, a real cool guy with a taste for excitement.
Karen also hosted one of the first computer talk radio shows in the area in 1997. The show was geared towards helping people get over their technology fears. Karen enjoyed the imagination of radio and later began to help the Kelso-Longview Chamber of Commerce with their radio show on AM 1400 KEDO called The Chamber Connection.
November 2010 Karen and Summer D Clemenson joined minds and created Exclaim Media. Their love of marketing and communicating has shown brightly for all the clients they have been able to serve. really cares how much you know until they know how much you care. In May 2010 Karen joined her friend Randy Parr, owner of Allied Hearing-Aid Specialists, to co-host Boomer Plus Tuesday, a radio show that accents those aged 50 and beyond. Karen enjoyed being co-host of this show until June 2012.
Karen has done voice-overs, radio commercials, script writing, and PSA’s for radio and TV. Karen’s love of people has inspired her to conduct over 1000 interviews. Every interview is an opportunity to make a human connection!
In 2009 Karen began her own show called Connect the Dots. This weekly show showcased the people of Cowlitz County; their creativity, generosity and ingenuity. Mixing in a good down-home feel made this an amazing show that people are still talking about.
Connect the Dots is on hiatus but we have plans of resurrecting this great show!

The theme of Karen’s life being relatively fluid, she often reinvents herself into the next best version of Karen. In April of 2014 Summer and Karen realized that their great bonds of 10 years of friendship, 4 years of business partnership and volunteerism had morphed into a great love. In May 2014, they were married in a private ceremony on a farm in Cathlamet, Washington. Now they are even stronger standing beside each other and working together.
With the start of her new life, she also, with the help of a few great friends, began working on her newest endeavor; Wellness Works NW.
